Steuben County Overdose Prevention

Opioids pose a health threat in Steuben County, with more than 800 suspected overdoses
since 2020. Narcan reverses the effects of an overdose, saving lives. You can
save a life by participating in a quick training on how to use Narcan and carrying it with
you in case of an opioid overdose.

Harm Reduction
& Treatment

Steuben County Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (SCASAS) is a certified, ambulatory, medically supervised outpatient substance abuse program. Offices are located in Bath, Corning, and Hornell.

SCASAS provides outpatient treatment and support for people or families of people struggling with substance use. Services include individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, and medication-assisted treatment.

Each site offers Open Access hours, where you can walk in for help, as well as scheduled appointments. Calling ahead is recommended to confirm hours or schedule an intake.

The Steuben Prevention Coalition teaches students and young adults how to resist drugs, strengthen their resolve against drug use, and improve social skills. We also offer training for parents and businesses.
